Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead environmental consulting projects through all phases from planning to completion. The role emphasizes coordinating scope, schedule, budget, and resources, mentoring junior staff, and maintaining strong client relationships.

The position requires strong PM and consulting skills, knowledge of environmental regulations, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications

• 2 years of related environmental consulting experience
• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Natural/Environmental Science, Geology, or related field
• P.E. or P.G. license preferred; other licensure may be required depending on work
• Strong project management and consulting skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Must have valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle
• Proficiency in environmental sampling methods and project execution

Responsibilities

• Manages environmental projects from initiation through completion
• Coordinates project scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements
• Mentors junior staff and supports team development
• Attends project meetings and solves technical/administrative issues
• Maintains regular client communication and develops relationships
• Builds and maintains a client database for project/business development
• Manages project budgets and monitors financial performance
• Prepares change orders and invoices; supports collections
• Schedules and oversees technical staff assigned to projects
• Prioritizes activities to meet deliverables and budgets
• Manages multiple projects simultaneously
• Prepares proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and change orders
• Prepares environmental reports, analyses, and recommendations
• Review deliverables prepared by junior staff
• Leads project discussions with clients and stakeholders
• Coordinates field and office resources for execution
• Performs additional PM and technical duties as assigned
• Directs staff PMs and assistant PMs during execution
• Oversees field investigations for wetland and natural resource projects
• Coordinates logistics and field execution
• Prepares technical reports and project documentation
• Supports development of deliverables and regulatory compliance
• Directs Staff PMs during project execution
