Job summary

Poutrix is seeking a Biologist/Ecologist to join the Enviro Socio Permitting team in the Texas/Gulf Coast region. The successful candidate will lead wetland and stream delineations, conduct environmental assessments, and support agency coordination for permits.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related fields and 4+ years of relevant experience. The role offers a salary range of $76,11 – $114,165 with comprehensive benefits including health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, ecology, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in environmental planning and permitting.
• Experience leading wetland delineations field teams and using GPS technology.
• Knowledge of sensitive habitats and special-status species.

Responsibilities

• Lead wetland and stream delineations and conduct habitat assessments.
• Collect and manage field data using handheld GPS and GIS.
• Prepare technical reports and permit applications.
• Support agency consultations on threatened species.
