Job summary

Pratt Industries in Humboldt, TN is seeking a Wet End Operator to join our team focused on sustainable packaging solutions. You will run single-facers, monitor board quality, perform roll changes, and maintain safety and housekeeping in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires reading factory masters and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior experience in corrugated or fulfillment is a plus, but not required.

Qualifications

• Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prior work in corrugated or fulfillment is advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the single-facers to produce high production and quality.
• Check wet end line-ups to verify correct roll stock is received and used.
• Prepare rolls by placing in mill roll stands, perform splices and paper changes as necessary.
• Trim only the necessary amount of paper from the rolls when preparing for splices.
• Remove roll stock from the machine and mark size, grade, diameter and footage.
• Continuously monitor the board during runs and make adjustments as needed.
• Clean starch pan, glue roll and singlefacer area after changes and weekly.
• Take all paper off cores of stub rolls.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management.
