Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises in Florida is seeking a friendly host/hostess to be the first smiling face for guests, greet guests, seat them, and manage the wait list with a cheerful demeanor.

You will answer questions, maintain the foyer and menus, and help ensure guests exit with Flanigan’s Smile Talk. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and compliance with Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety programs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must speak, read and write English.
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program.
• Complete and pass Florida food safety certification program.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests with a warm, welcoming attitude.
• escorts guests to tables and manages seating flow.
• Maintains a cheerful, neat and professional image at the host station.
• Manages the wait list and communicates guest questions to the manager on duty.
• Keeps foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and well supplied.
• Restocks and cleans menus and maintains restroom cleanliness.
• Answers phone within 4 rings and directs guests to staff.
• Concludes visits with Flanigan’s Smile Talk.
• Performs shift changes and opening/closing duties.

Overview

You’re the first smiling face our guests see every time they enter a Flanigan’s, and likely the last as they go on their merry way. You set the tone for the entire experience, greeting all of our friends and family in a warm and welcoming way. You help usher guests to their tables, manage the flow of seating, field inquiries, and greet people on the way out, just as nicely as on the way in. We’re always looking for the most friendly, hospitable people to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Displays and maintains a cheerful and courteous temperament, as well as displays a neat and clean professional image
• Greets guests with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Engages guests in Flanigan’s "Smile Talk" while escorting them to table in a timely manner
• Efficiently manages the Wait List for seating
• Communicates guest’s questions or concerns to Manager on duty
• Keeps foyer, host/hostess station, wait area clean and free of debris, restocks and cleans menus
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guest
• Answers telephone within 4 rings, and answers guests’ questions, and/or directs guests to proper staff member
• Conclude guests’ visit with Flanigan’s "Smile Talk"
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework

• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
