Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Managing Director to lead our Wealth Management business in the West Region, specifically overseeing the Orange County area. You will guide a team of wealth management advisors, drive strategy, mentoring, recruitment, and accountability to achieve client outcomes and profitability.

The role demands a strong track record in market growth, leadership, and deep expertise in trust, banking, and investment management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in wealth management leadership roles with deep knowledge in trust, banking, investment management and wealth advisory services.
• Proven track record of managing a business (P&L) and delivering excellent client experience.
• Experience with change management and leading/implementing change.
• Proven ability to recruit and develop top talent.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to staff to foster collaboration, accountability, and inclusion.
• Oversee client interactions, retention, and expansion of relationships within the region.
• Set budgets and manage expenses for the market.
• Drive sales growth and new business in collaboration with West Region leadership.
