Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Transportation Manager to oversee at least four depot locations and lead a team in a fast-paced, customer-oriented environment in Nebraska. The role includes driver selection, budgeting, and ensuring DOT/OSHA compliance while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The position primarily reports from the Kearney, Nebraska office with travel to other locations as needed. Strong leadership, decision-making, and project management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Communication or related field.
• 5 years of related experience required.
• 6 months of supervisory or management experience required.
• Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
• Must have Class A CDL with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Transportation Supervisor and staff of drivers to ensure safe, efficient, timely deliveries.
• Hires, schedules, trains and evaluates drivers; sets job standards.
• Oversees daily administration: expenses, payroll, reports; resolves problems.
• Maintains DOT and OSHA compliance; handles driver relations.
• Coordinates with Warehouse Manager to optimize efficiency.
• Schedules deliveries and routing, including backhauls, to maximize route profitability.
