GLOVIS America, Inc. in West Point, GA is seeking a FIL Team Lead to support the FIL Supervisor and coach a manufacturing line team on a daily basis. You will cover training, shift start/end, and communicate with supervisors to meet customer expectations.

This role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced plant environment.

Summary

The FIL Team Lead is responsible for assisting FIL Supervisor and leading team members in their daily processes on the FIL Line, and the FIL shuttle. The FIL Team Lead must be able to perform the day-to-day activities of the supervisor in his absence. The FIL Team Lead must also be able to fill other job positions when team members are absent.

Summary

• Assist Supervisor with process issues, alert Supervisor and AM of any inspection or process concerns immediately
  • Team lead must be able to perform every job on the FIL Line, to include Inspection, On/Off Conveyor and the FIL Shuttle and fill those postions when necessary
  • Lead team members on a daily basis and ensure all processes are being followed to meet customer expectations
  • Makes sure every team member has the necessary PPE to require for the job
  • Makes sure everyone is properly trained on their job
  • Communicate any process change or customer demands to team members
  • Must be able to assist the supervisor with ensuring established production, quality, and delivery commitments are met
  • Must be able to assist the supervisor in handling personnel issues
  • Must be able to perform some of the day-to-day activities of the supervisor in his absence
  • Must assist with shift start and shift end duties
• Communicate and review processes/procedures in place on a regular basis and correct if necessary
  • Ensure everybody is in dress code, mutilation free, and trained to fulfil their job duties in an efficient and safe manner
  • During shift, Team Lead must be visible and available for any questions coming from team members, Management, or our Customer
  • Drive with trainees (at end of their training) to verify new driver's training has been thorough and successfully completed
  • Monitor inspectors and drivers to ensure processes and safety procedures are in place and being followed
  • Assist in ensuring Cognosos tracker inventory is maintained on the OK line and FIL line
• Communicate effectively with customers, Supervisors, and fellow team members to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Keep Line Stops at a minimum and discuss any concerns with Supervisor and/or AM
  • Conduct daily Exit Side Audits to ensure customer expectations are met
  • Other Duties assigned
