Job summary

Via seeks a Director of Strategy & Operations to lead the West Coast portfolio, initially managing Field Operations Managers and then General Managers and Operations Managers. You will set and execute regional strategy, ensuring safe, reliable, high-quality service across a large, fast-growing book of business.

The West region is in high-growth mode, requiring a seasoned operator who can scale teams, partner with transit agency stakeholders, and align with central functions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in operational leadership with P&L responsibility.
• Bachelor’s Degree with exceptional academic and professional achievement.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the West Coast (~25%).

Responsibilities

• Lead regional leadership, coach teams, and set operating rhythm.
• Own regional P&L outcomes with KPI accountability.
• Translate regional priorities into market strategies and growth plans.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and agency leadership to align capacity with growth.
• Build trust with stakeholders through transparent reporting and proactive remediation.
