Job summary

Via seeks a Director of Strategy & Operations to lead a significant portion of our West Coast portfolio from Seattle. This role will oversee a growing team of Field Operations Managers and later General Managers, driving regional strategy, P&L performance, and service excellence across markets.

You will partner with Finance, Commercial, and central functions to scale operations, improve KPIs, and roll out new service types while navigating regulatory and contractual environments.

Qualifications

• Operational leadership experience with P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record developing and executing business strategies.
• Experience leading high-growth or transformation environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• 10+ years of experience; Bachelor’s degree required.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team; set expectations, cadence, and accountability.
• Run a consistent regional operating rhythm.
• Build leadership depth by hiring, promoting, and performance-managing regional talent.
• Foster a culture of safety, compliance, operational excellence and partner trust.
• Own regional P&L outcomes; manage revenue hours/rides, cost per ride, labor productivity, margin.
• Set regional targets and KPIs; drive improvement.
• Drive root-cause problem solving on underperforming markets.
• Partner on annual and quarterly operating plans and staffing models.
• Translate regional priorities into actionable market strategies.
• Lead region through new service types and operating models.
• Represent Operations in regional strategy discussions with other teams.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align ops capacity with growth.
