Job summary

Educate! on the West Coast seeks a Head of Philanthropy to build a new revenue channel with high-net-worth donors and tech-sector funders. Based on the West Coast US, this role blends entrepreneurship with fundraising, operating across East Africa time zones.

You will own relationships, develop a pipeline, and design events to activate supporters around Educate!'s evidence and impact. This is a senior, independent role with strong leadership potential.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of relevant experience in fundraising, partnerships, or philanthropy.
• Ability to build trust with influential founders, investors, and operators.
• Strong communication and storytelling to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of West Coast donors and partners.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to engage new networks and communities.
• Design events and experiences to connect supporters with Educate!'s evidence and impact.
• Develop pitches and proposals and track pipeline and revenue progress.
