Job summary

Burkert USA Corp is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive specifications and sales for large pharma/biotech projects on the West Coast. You will build and execute account plans, forecast opportunities, and coordinate factory tours with partners and key personnel to grow revenue over 90 days to 3 years.

You will present Burkert products and systems, develop new business with OEMs, distributors and end users, and lead in project quotations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent certified completed technical training courses.
• 5+ years of sales and technical experience in the specific market required.
• Proven track record of success in sales.
• Energetic hunter mentality with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong customer focus and attention to detail.
• Negotiation skills and ability to present project quotations.
• ERP and CRM experience (e.g., SAP).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for sales growth and achieving annual sales and profit goals in the P&B Core Industry geography.
• Complete and implement Account and Territory plans with forecasting.
• Prepare and present Burkert portfolio of products and solutions to target customers.
• Drive specifications of Burkert solutions at OEMs, P&E firms, distribution partners and end users.
• Grow business by driving specifications for Pharma and Biotech products early in projects.
• Maintain CRM data and ensure global alignment and transparency.
• Support customers and distributors in sales and marketing efforts.
• Negotiate contracts with distribution partners and manage inventory targets.
• Train partners and customers on products and tools (e-shop).
