Job summary

ENERCON’s Nuclear Services Group seeks a Project Manager in Emeryville, CA, to lead engineering proposals and develop comprehensive project plans. You will manage schedules, budgets, and client relationships while pursuing new opportunities.

Ideal candidates will have engineering credentials or PMP certification with 10+ years in power, energy, or nuclear sectors, plus experience in cost estimation, scheduling, and earned value management. Travel 10–15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or PMP certification with 10 years of experience
• Experience in power generation, energy, utility or nuclear industries as PM
• Experience in cost/workhour estimating and proposal development
• Knowledge in earned value management, rules of credit, and progress reporting
• Ability to travel 10-15% of the time; client site assignments may last months

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Collaboration: Lead efforts with technical staff to develop detailed and winning engineering proposals; supervise subcontractors and ensure quality and schedules.
• Project Management Excellence: Develop Nuclear Services project work plans, risk and communication plans, and work breakdown structures; manage schedules and provide recovery/rebaselining as needed.
• Client Relations & Business Development: Maintain strong client relationships; manage scope and identify new opportunities; assist with proposal development and follow-up.
• Financial & Reporting Oversight: Track internal and federal reporting; monitor project financials and overall performance.
