Job summary

Applied Biological Materials (abm) Inc is seeking a Sales Account Manager to manage and grow the U.S. West Territory, with a West Coast base preferred.

The role focuses on expanding existing accounts and developing new relationships with academic, biotech, pharma, CRO, government, and research institutions. The ideal candidate has 2+ years in life sciences sales or business development, strong communication and negotiation skills, and is comfortable traveling within the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, account management, or technical sales within life sciences/biotech.
• Strong understanding of U.S. life science markets and customer base.
• Experience selling cell lines, primary cells, or life science products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and expand customer accounts across the U.S. West Territory, including key labs and research institutions.
• Identify new opportunities and drive revenue growth.
• Build long-term relationships with researchers, procurement contacts, and decision-makers.
• Conduct regular meetings (virtual/in-person) to assess needs and propose abm solutions.
• Develop territory/account plans and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions for customers.
• Meet/exceed revenue targets and sales KPIs.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of opportunities and activities.
• Represent abm at conferences and meetings.
• Travel regularly within the territory for customer engagements.
