Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Deputy Department Manager to oversee Environmental Remediation operations along the West Coast, primarily in California (LA/Orange/Long Beach preferred). The role oversees major programs, drives KPI performance, and ensures billable work execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• US citizenship or permanent residency is required. Sponsorship not offered.
• A valid driver's license and the ability to pass MVR checks are required.

Responsibilities

• Drives program performance to meet client KPIs and ensures risk management triggers are addressed.
• Oversees ~50 department staff, mentors project managers, and supports succession planning.
• Collaborates with Account Managers and Practice Leaders to grow backlog and profitability.
• Acts as escalation point for project issues and ensures PM practices align with PDS/QMS.
