Job summary

Kinly, a leading AV and UC integrator, seeks an AV Field Engineer for the West Coast US. This full-time role requires hands-on installation, troubleshooting, testing and light commissioning of commercial AV systems across California sites.

You’ll read drawings, diagnose issues and work with project teams to bring installations to completion. The position is 40 hours per week, with salary range $98,000–$110,000 per year plus health, vision/dental, disability, vacation, sickness and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• Experience with commercial AV installation and field troubleshooting.
• Ability to read AV line drawings and construction drawings.
• Ability to troubleshoot AV systems methodically and communicate findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, test, and troubleshoot commercial AV systems at customer jobsites.
• Read and interpret AV drawings, signal-flow diagrams, rack elevations, wiring schematics, and construction drawings.
• Diagnose system issues and isolate faults involving signal, control, audio, video, cabling, networked devices, or installation quality.
• Perform light commissioning activities, including device verification and punch-list closeout.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve issues and maintain progress.
• Document jobsite conditions and next steps through field reports.
