Job summary

Bright Horizons in Oakland, CA is seeking a S&K Camp Team Leader to oversee up to 20 Camp Directors and deliver engaging, safe camp programs across year-round operations. The role requires on-site work at West Region Camps with periodic travel to locations as needed.

You will lead staffing, budget, compliance and operations, partner with schools, coordinate logistics with vendors, and respond to emergencies while building community for families and campers.

Qualifications

• Must meet the American Camp Association (ACA) Director accreditation standards, including being 25 years of age and having at least two seasons of camp supervisory experience.
• 3+ years of past management or leadership experience.
• Experience hiring and managing teams of 10 or more.
• Past experience managing across Operations, Sales, Customer Service and Financial/Budgetary functions.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with Camp Director teams.

Responsibilities

• Leads and supervises a team of Year-round and Seasonal Camp Directors (up to 20).
• Manages all customer communications and ensures exceptional service for thousands of families.
• Ensures compliance with company, city, county and state policies for camps/childcare facilities.
• Oversees budget for personnel, food and programming across camps and negotiates vendor terms.
• Visis Camps to observe operations and provide support; may lead camp during emergencies.
• Manages logistics and inventory for camp programs valued in excess of nine figures.
• Handles escalations in sensitive, emergency, behavioral and medical situations.
• Manages relationships with host schools and oversees site planning and janitorial arrangements.
