Job summary

Bright Horizons in Fremont, California is seeking a Camp Director to plan and execute an innovative, kid-centered summer day camp, plus seasonal programs and pop-up childcare events. You will recruit, hire, train and lead seasonal teams, manage logistics, compliance, operations and inventory, and ensure safety and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3 years Admin or Supervisory Experience in a Camp, Education or Childcare setting required.
• Past management or leadership experience is required; experience hiring and managing teams of 5+ staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of employee life cycle for seasonal teams up to 30: attraction, recruitment, onboarding, development, retention and separation.
• On-site manager for a 9–10 week day camp with ~150 campers/day and six-figure revenue; also manage holiday programs and pop-up childcare events.
• Handle crisis, emergency, behavioral and medical responses as needed.
• Manage customer contacts and provide exceptional service to hundreds of families.
• Develop relationships with local schools, PTAs, businesses to create promotional opportunities.
• Lead promotional events and presentations for prospective families.
