Job summary

St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester, a division of SJMC, is seeking an experienced therapist for the Wellness Specialist role in our Assertive Community Treatment program in Harrison, NY. The position focuses on mobile, evidence-based services for adults with mental illness.

You will partner with a multidisciplinary team to implement personalized wellness plans, emphasize recovery, and support clients and families in adopting healthy daily routines.

Qualifications

• NYS license as Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor, or Psychologist.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with adults in outpatient mental health.
• Experience in mobile, community-based programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized wellness plans using Wellness Self-Management.
• Collaborate with clients and families to integrate self-care and healthy habits.
• Coordinate care with an ACT mobile, multidisciplinary team.

Job description

St. Vincent's Hospital Westchester, a division of SJMC, is seeking an experienced therapist for the Wellness Specialist position in our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program. Based in Harrison, NY, the ACT Program is a licensed, mobile treatment program for adults with mental illness whose needs have not been well met by more traditional programs.

ACT is grounded in a recovery-oriented practice and provides an integrated set of evidence-based services delivered by a mobile, multidiscipline behavioral health treatment team.

Reporting to the Program Director and working in collaboration with the multidiscipline team, the Wellness Specialist develops individualized wellness plans with our clients and their families, utilizing the evidence-based Wellness Self-Management model.

Emphasizing the connection between physical and mental health, the Wellness Specialist works with clients to integrate self-care and healthy habits into their daily lives.

Requirements: NYS licensed Social Worker, Mental Health Counselor or Psychologist with at least one year experience working with adults in an outpatient mental health setting. Experience working in a mobile, community-based program is preferred.

Pay: $75,000 - $85,000 according to 1199 union contract
