Job summary

Canyon Ranch is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Tucson. This hands-on role focuses on quality, presentation, and wellness-aligned cuisine while supervising staff and daily kitchen operations.

You will uphold health codes, ServSafe standards, and Canyon Ranch nutrition philosophy. Weekly schedules include mornings, weekends, and special events in a wellness-focused resort environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Sous Chef or similar supervisory kitchen role (preferably in hospitality or health facility).
• Instructing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of nutritional cooking, food handling, and safety standards.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Flexible availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high standards of food quality, preparation, and presentation.
• Supervise culinary staff and manage daily kitchen operations.
• Maintain health codes and ServSafe compliance.
• Communicate Canyon Ranch nutrition philosophy in menu items.
• Lead food demonstrations and special functions in the Demonstration Kitchen.
• Manage scheduling and colleague diner oversight.
