Job summary

CSPNJ seeks an Assistant Program Manager for our Wellness Respite in Haledon, NJ. This full-time role supervises Wellness Associates, supports guests, and promotes recovery through structured services.

The position requires a Master’s degree in mental health or human services, with preferred LPC/LCSW credentials. Strong crisis management, organization, and client-focused training are essential. NJ driver's license expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a mental health/human service discipline.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to analyze processes, identify problems and develop solutions.
• NJ LPC or LCSW preferred.
• Ability to conduct individual and group educational training.
• Strong assessment skills and crisis management ability.
• Solid organization, time management and multitask skills.
• Ability to work with individuals with mental illness.
• Proficient in MS Office and general computer literacy.
• Bilingual skills a plus.
• Valid NJ driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Lived Experience valued to inspire and support others.

Responsibilities

• Supervises a team of Wellness Associates under the Program Manager.
• Delivers supportive services to promote recovery and cope with stress.
• Ensures guest charts are up to date per policy and DMHS guidelines.
• Documents staff and guest incidents in Foothold; handles non-reportable events.
• Evaluates and approves wellness plans, providing feedback to staff.
