Job summary

Fairview Hospital / Cleveland Clinic in Newark, NJ seeks a part-time Wellness Associate to provide supportive services to guests in a mental health respite setting, helping them develop crisis coping skills and work toward personal recovery goals.

You will document treatment information and support plans, offer counseling and socialization opportunities, advocate for access to community resources, and maintain accurate records while building positive relationships with guests.

Qualifications

Job description

The role of the Wellness Associate involves providing supportive services to guests in a mental health respite setting, helping them develop crisis coping skills, and working toward personal recovery goals.

Qualifications

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a mental health field or equivalent experience, with preferred certification as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner. Skills required are engaging training delivery, assessment, problem-solving, crisis management, organization, and trauma-informed support. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, a valid NJ driver’s license, and bilingual abilities are advantageous. Lived experience with mental health/substance use issues is highly valued to inspire and support guests.
