Job summary

CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit, seeks a part-time Wellness Associate under the Program Manager. You provide supportive services for guests to have a meaningful stay, help them learn crisis coping skills, and work on a Wellness Plan linking to community resources with a Wellness Respite Associate.

Stays can be up to ten days in an open-door setting, offering an alternative to hospitalization for individuals in crisis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a mental health field, or a High School Diploma/GED with four years of related work or lived experience.
• Possession of, or eligibility to obtain, Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (C.P.R.P.) certification is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver engaging individual and group educational training sessions for diverse audiences.
• Strong assessment, problem-solving and crisis response skills with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain documentation of the service plan and current medications and follow-up appointments.
• Provide residential counselling and support to guests; help identify and develop coping strategies.
• Advocate for guests to access needed community resources and develop social activities.
• Collaborate with Wellness Respite Associate to link guests with services during their stay.
