Job summary

Canyon Ranch Austin is seeking a professional Loss Prevention Officer to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming resort environment. You will patrol extensive guest areas, monitor security systems, and respond to emergencies while delivering excellent service to guests and colleagues.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, CPR/First Aid/AED certification, and experience in security or hospitality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in hospitality security, law enforcement, military, customer service, or related field preferred.
• Strong communication, observation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Outdoor work in a large resort environment; flexible schedules including weekends/evenings/holidays/overnight.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certified.
• Experience with CCTV, access control, and incident reporting systems preferred.
• Prior luxury hotel/resort experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol guest areas, wellness facilities, parking areas, trails, and back‑of‑house spaces to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Monitor CCTV, access control systems, alarms, and other security equipment.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns.
• Assist with investigations involving accidents, incidents, lost and found items, policy violations, and security concerns.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Support key control, access management, and credential verification procedures.
• Assist with traffic control, special events, VIP arrivals, and resort activities as needed.
• Provide directions, information, and assistance to guests and colleagues throughout the resort.
• Serve as a visible and approachable presence while maintaining a professional demeanor.
