Job summary

Canyon Ranch Austin is seeking a Loss Prevention Officer to help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, colleagues, and visitors at our luxury wellness resort in the Texas Hill Country. The role emphasizes vigilance, professional conduct, and collaboration with resort teams.

You will patrol, monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and assist in emergencies while upholding Canyon Ranch standards.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, observation, and problem-solving skills.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certified.
• Experience with CCTV, access control, and incident reporting systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol guest areas, wellness facilities, parking areas, trails, and back-of-house spaces to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Monitor CCTV, access control systems, alarms, and other security equipment.
• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns.
• Assist with investigations involving accidents, incidents, lost and found items, policy violations, and security concerns.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Support key control, access management, and credential verification procedures.
• Assist with traffic control, special events, VIP arrivals, and resort activities as needed.
• Provide directions, information, and assistance to guests and colleagues throughout the resort.
• Serve as a visible and approachable presence while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Support service recovery efforts by assisting guests during unexpected situations or emergencies.
• Promote a positive guest experience through courteous and proactive interactions.
• Respond to medical emergencies, fire alarms, severe weather events, and other emergency situations.
• Assist with evacuations and emergency procedures when required.
• Participate in emergency drills, safety training, and ongoing department development programs.
• Report unsafe conditions and potential hazards to leadership immediately.
