Job summary

Civana Wellness Resort & Spa in Arizona is seeking an exceptional Line Cook to support our resort’s culinary team. This is Regular Full Time position. Open availability 7 days a week from 2:30pm-10:30pm is required for this position, including all weekends and all holidays.

You will prepare meals from grilling to plating, maintain inventory, and ensure food safety while delivering the high standard guests expect at Civana’s award‑winning dining program.

Qualifications

• Three - five years’ experience as Line Cook.
• Previous hotel/resort experience preferred.
• Willing and able to work all shifts including weekends/holidays.
• Current Maricopa County Food Handlers Card required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive and cleaning maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Completes meal preparation by grilling, sauteing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients; verifying doneness and taste; assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
• Presents meals by placing and arranging hot and cold elements using plates, dishes, bowls, and baskets.
• Controls costs by adhering to recipes; following preparation standards.
• Maintains a sanitary kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes; cleaning equipment.
