Job summary

CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree, AZ is seeking a Regular Full Time Sous Chef for both AM and PM shifts. You will oversee mise en place for soups, vegetables, and proteins, manage line duties, and ensure sanitation across kitchen areas.

You will order daily produce, oversee meat inventories, and ensure proper knife handling and equipment safety while maintaining precise temperature control for all cooking equipment.

Qualifications

• One to two years of Sous Chef experience.
• Willing and able to work weekends/holidays.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Knowledge/passion in health & wellness.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and aiding in mise en place for soups, vegetables, and meats on the line or pantry.
• Understand seasoning and portion controls; assist hot or cold line during service.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen areas.
• Handle daily produce orders and meat inventories.
• Ensure safe knife handling and equipment use.
• Monitor temperature controls for stoves, grills, broilers, and ovens.
