Job summary

CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree, AZ is seeking a professional Cook for full-time service in our on-site kitchen. You will prepare, season, and plate meals to meet our wellness-focused standards for guests and colleagues.

Three to five years as a Line Cook, hotel/resort experience preferred, and the ability to work weekends and holidays are required. The role offers competitive hourly pay and the chance to contribute to a renowned destination spa.

Qualifications

• Three to five years’ experience as Line Cook.
• Previous hotel/resort experience preferred.
• Willing and able to work all shifts including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive and cleaning maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Completes meal preparation by grilling, sauteing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients; verifying doneness and taste; assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
• Presents meals by placing and arranging hot and cold elements using plates, dishes, bowls, and baskets.
• Controls costs by adhering to recipes; following preparation standards.
• Maintains a sanitary kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes; cleaning equipment.
