Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a Wellness Nurse for a part-time day shift (6am–2:30pm) at our Burr Ridge community. You will monitor residents' health, support nurses, and help ensure regulatory compliance and clinical excellence in a team‑oriented environment.

You will coordinate admissions, administer medications, collaborate with physicians and providers, document observations, and uphold state regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
• Current nursing license and state registration (LPN or RN).
• Three years’ experience in assessment and geriatric nursing, preferred.
• Working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures, dictated for compliance.
• A big smile, eagerness to learn, and compassion for our Residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordination of the resident admission process including screening, assessment, and care needs
• Ensure care is delivered as indicated in resident care plans
• Medication and treatment administration and ensure medications are administered per physicians’ orders
• Assistance with coordinating care and services with other outside providers including resident physicians
• Document and report care provided and resident observations including unusual or significant changes
• Maintain a working knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures

Job Description

Schedule: Part-Time. Day Shift, 6am-2:30pm.

The Wellness Nurse supports the health and well-being of residents through ongoing clinical monitoring and support, provides assistance to community nurses, caregivers, and medication personnel to help ensure regulatory compliance and clinical excellence. The ability to work effectively as part of a team with flexibility and adaptability to change and pace of duties while maintaining a warm and encouraging disposition is important.
