Job summary

Maplewood Senior Living seeks a Wellness Nurse LPN/RN for part-time weekend availability at our Weston location. The role involves supervising medication administration, resident relations, and coordinating with physicians and families to ensure quality care.

Shifts include Tuesdays 8:00 am–1:00 pm, Fridays 3:00 pm–11:00 pm and 4:00 pm–8:00 pm, with additional 3:00 pm–11:00 pm and 4:00 pm–8:00 pm slots as needed. Per diem employment, competitive wages, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• LPN license to practice in the appropriate state.
• CPR and basic first aid certification.
• Two years of full-time clinical experience.
• Experience in assisted living or long-term care setting preferred.
• Experience and/or interest working with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising the medication program and assist residents with self-administration.
• Maintain positive relations with residents, families and physicians.
• Report any significant incidents and/or changes to the Executive Director/Resident Services Director.
• Support the completion of resident assessments and service plans.
• Assist with clinical assessments/recertifications per ALSA requirements.
• Support Resident Services Director in hiring and performance management.
• Assist in training and orientation of new associates.
• Attend and participate in scheduled in-service programs and meetings.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants as needed.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to Resident Services Department associates.
• Support residents and families to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary: (Same as short job description)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in supervising the medication program and assist the residents with self-administration of medication.

• Assist in the training and participate in orientation of new associates.
• Attend and participate in scheduled in-service programs, training programs and associate meetings.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing of Resident Services Assistants as needed.
• Providing coaching and mentoring to Resident Services Department associates as needed.
• Support residents and families as needed to ensure high level of customer satisfaction.
• Assist with supervision of RSA staff during provision of care.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification:

• Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice in the appropriate state(s).
• Basic first aid and CPR certification.
• Two years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience.
• Experience in assisted living or long term care setting preferred.
• Experience and/or special interest working with seniors.
