Shift: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Pay Rate: $80,000 - $90,000
We are seeking a Nurse to support the Director of Nursing by managing nursing operations, supervising caregivers, overseeing care plans, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role also leads infection prevention efforts and collaborates with staff, families, and healthcare partners to deliver high-quality resident care.
Requirements:
- Active RN or LPN license in New Jersey
- Infection Prevention Control Certification
- 3+ years of nursing experience in long-term care, rehab, or related healthcare
- 1+ year in rehabilitative/restorative nursing
- Knowledge of assisted living regulations and nursing practices
- Familiarity with AHCA’s Infection Preventionist Training (IPCO)
Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Promote a positive work culture and support ongoing caregiver training
- Supervise caregivers and ensure quality resident care and documentation
- Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and staff performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and resident rights
- Act as DON backup when needed
Administrative Duties:
- Manage caregiver staffing, orientation, evaluations, and documentation
- Maintain and update policies, order nursing supplies, and support emergency protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation and continuing education
Nursing Services:
- Conduct rounds, resolve care concerns, and oversee medication management
- Review health service plans, physician orders, and pharmacy reports
- Coordinate care with families, therapy providers, and other departments
- Participate in surveys, audits, and resident care planning meetings
- Support regulatory compliance and continuous improvement
Infection Preventionist Role:
- Lead the community’s infection control program
- Conduct surveillance, data analysis, and environmental rounds
- Ensure staff training, education, and policy compliance
- Maintain knowledge of CMS, state, and federal guidelines
- Report infection control data and participate in Quality Assurance meetings
