Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a friendly, service-oriented team member to provide exceptional member support on the wellness floor, promoting safety and healthy living in line with YMCA policies. You will support program activities and help members engage with available resources.

Responsibilities include assisting members, monitoring equipment, addressing questions, and connecting participants with personal training and programs while upholding the YMCA’s values and standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse prevention training required upon hire.
• Prior related work experience and experience with diverse populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes YMCA core values and character development in all activities.
• Assist members on the wellness floor and uphold safety standards.
• Monitor equipment and respond to accidents or maintenance needs.
• Maintain neat, clean equipment and facilities; answer member questions.
• Build relationships and connect members with programs and personal training.
• Follow policies, attend trainings, and report incidents as required.
