Job summary

CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa is seeking a Banquet Captain to oversee banquet setup and service operations. You will direct the team on meeting and dining setup per BEOs, work with the Culinary team to ensure accurate food items and counts, and train staff to maintain high service standards.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate multiple activities while ensuring guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 2 years’ experience in a supervisory leadership role.
• 1-year Hospitality or Banquet experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs the team on setup and service per Banquet Event Orders.
• Plans serving order and coordinates timely, courteous execution.
• Works with Culinary to ensure accurate food items and counts.
• Ensures servers are ready to serve meals when prepared.
• Trains setup and wait staff; supervises front-line team.
• Manages inventory and communicates needs to leadership.
• Ensures guest dietary restrictions are respected.
• Upholds safety, security, and energy procedures.
