Job summary

The Sharon at SouthPark in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Lifestyle Coordinator to join the Vitality and Well-being Department. This role designs, creates, and implements multi-dimensional programming to meet residents’ wellness goals and tracks engagement across programs.

The LC will support staff, manage events, assist with marketing content, coordinate resident orientation, and help maintain program budgets and policies. Strong leadership and a passion for senior well-being are essential.

Responsibilities

• Create, plan, schedule, and implement a multi-dimensional wellness program.
• Lead staff activities including hiring, evaluation, promotion, and discharge.
• Coordinate community-wide special events with senior leadership.
• Plan weekly or monthly programming across living levels with timely planning.
• Support marketing with photos and content for updates.
• Manage campus communication systems to share programming information.
• Assist new resident acclimation with orientation processes.
• Submit monthly content to resident communication tools.
• Maintain knowledge of program desirability and adjust offerings accordingly.
• Collaborate on family events and engage volunteers as needed.
• Update policies and procedures as required by leadership and resident needs.
• Complete cross-training to support the Vitality and Well-being department.
• Monitor resident safety, dietary restrictions, and rights.
• Maintain department equipment and conduct annual inventory.
• Prepare and operate within budgetary guidelines and plans.
• Schedule community opportunities (speakers, instructors, entertainers).
• Ensure holidays and events are properly planned with decor and supplies.
• Report hazards and maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Maintain confidentiality of professional matters.
• Attend workshops/conferences to meet licensure/CEU requirements.
• Participate in committees and meetings as directed.
• Drive facility vehicles for outings when needed.
• Assist with event setup and housekeeping in activity areas.
• Others as directed by DVW/senior leadership.
