Job summary

Country Meadows Retirement Communities is seeking an Activities Director to design engaging programs that support independence, wellness, and a sense of purpose for residents. You will lead activities staff and coordinate a diverse calendar across our campuses.

The role requires experience in recreation or wellness programs, strong leadership, and the ability to work with campus leadership to roll out new initiatives while maintaining safety and inclusivity.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in group socialization, fitness, wellness or recreation programs required.
• Strong knowledge of local community and regional resources.
• Skills in training, directing and evaluating team and program performance.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this role.
• Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows safe, efficient performance of the job.

Responsibilities

• Organizer of activities that promote independence, fulfillment and purpose.
• Directs Activities Associates in maintaining a well-balanced calendar of programs and events.
• Collaborates with campus leadership to achieve goals and launch new initiatives.
• Leads a team to promote wellness practices in daily operations.
