Job summary

Country Meadows/Ecumenical is seeking an Activities Director to enrich residents' lives by planning engaging activities that promote independence and wellness. You will design and lead programs, supervise Activities Associates, and coordinate with campus leadership to launch new initiatives.

Full-time position with 8:30am-5pm schedule, on-site at Easton campus; pay starts at $26.00/hour with opportunities for experience-based advancement and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in group socialization, fitness, wellness or recreation programs required.
• Ability to lead a team and coordinate activities for seniors.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Activities Director Responsibilities:

• Organizer of activities that promote a feeling of independence, fulfillment and purpose.
• Directs Activities Associates in their efforts to facilitate a well-balanced calendar of programs and events that are appealing to the interests of our residents.
• Works with campus leadership to help achieve goals and launch new initiatives.
• Act as a role model leading a team of co-workers to take a proactive approach in the daily operations of dynamic living and promoting wellness practices.

Activities Director Requirements:

• Prior experience in group socialization, fitness, wellness or recreation programs required.
• Activity Director or Fitness/Wellness certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local community and regional resources.
• Skills in training, directing and evaluating team and program performance.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks required in this type of role.
• Have the ability to understand and speak English at a level which allows the safe, efficient performance of the job.
