Job Overview

The Resident Care Director (RCD) serves as the nursing clinical leader, managing health and wellness, care coordination, compliance, recruiting, and performance management within the community.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership for resident care, managing nursing staff to promote health and wellness.
  • Perform resident assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate resident care.
  • Serve as CLIA Director if applicable, ensuring compliance.
  • Partner with team members to promote wellness and care quality.
  • Assist with community move-in assessments.
Medication Management:
  • Oversee medication care managers and medication management programs.
  • Provide clinical training and evaluate staff capabilities.
Quality & Compliance:
  • Monitor clinical quality data and lead improvement initiatives.
  • Manage staffing, training, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead infection control and safety programs.
Financial and Team Leadership:
  • Manage department budgets and expenses.
  • Participate in training programs and onboard new leaders.
  • Ensure team compliance and professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Current RN license, graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum 2 years RN experience, 1 year in management preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certified.
  • Knowledge of nursing practices, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call.
