Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a Director of Nursing to lead and manage the clinical team across the community, coordinating care with residents, families, physicians and other providers. The role emphasizes leadership, relationship-building and ensuring high-quality, personalized care for residents.

You will mentor nursing staff, oversee day-to-day operations, and drive satisfaction and compliance while aligning with Brookdale’s standards and culture across our communities.

Qualifications

• State nursing license required (RN/LPN/LVN).
• Driver’s license required.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, clinical leadership preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education as required to obtain state nursing license and state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN)
• Driver’s license
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience, and Clinical leadership experience preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of technology, proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

Manages the day‑to‑day clinical services of the community to ensure residents’ healthcare needs are met. Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity and ensures quality care as residents’ healthcare needs change. Supervises and provides leadership, as well as coaching, to licensed nurses and other direct care staff within the community.

The HWD level for each community is determined based on the total complexity of the role. Complexity criteria include, but are not limited to, factors such as size, type of product lines, medication management regulations, 90‑day assessment requirements, multiple licensure requirements, state regulatory complexity, and skilled services requiring an RN.

Base pay in range will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Full‑time associates in role are eligible for an annual bonus incentive and sales referral bonuses. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.
