Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is seeking a Wellness Coach in Reston to provide fitness guidance, equipment demonstrations and personalized workout plans for members. You will support members across healthy living journeys while promoting YMCA programs and services.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid and AED certification, and possess an outgoing, team-focused attitude. Evening shifts and weekend availability are required.

Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma or GED.
• BA/BS in exercise science or related field preferred.
• CPR/First Aid and AED certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Explain benefits of working out and motivate participation in wellness services.
• Identify potentially dangerous situations and respond proactively.
• Provide information about YMCA mission, class schedules, and branch services.
• Support members through all stages of their healthy living journey.
