Job summary

The City of Kettering’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Department seeks a Full-Time Fitness Coordinator to oversee operations at the Kettering Fitness & Wellness Center and the Kettering Recreation Complex. The role includes staff management, program development, and ensuring equipment safety and cleanliness.

Flexibility is essential; the position may require early mornings, evenings, and weekends. A strong background in fitness/wellness and budget experience are highly valued for

Qualifications

• Knowledge of modern fitness/wellness principles including facility supervision and equipment maintenance.
• Experience in budget preparation and management.
• Strong organizational, supervisory, and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations at the Fitness & Wellness Center and the Recreation Complex.
• Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate staff.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of equipment and facilities.
• Develop marketing strategies to promote memberships and programs.
• Maintain budget and contribute to annual goals and plans.
• Prepare reports and data as needed.
