Job summary

Leech Lake Band Of Ojibwe seeks a Wellness Center Membership and Reception Manager to oversee daily front desk operations, manage memberships, scheduling, access control, and electronic records. The role supports a welcoming, safe, and inclusive wellness environment.

The position requires 2+ years in customer service management or hospitality, a degree in a related field, and CPR/First Aid certification within 6 months. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ADP is needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Hospitality, Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service management or hospitality.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, ADP, and related recreation-management software.
• CPR and First Aid certification required within 6 months of employment.
• Exceptional organizational skills.
• Good attendance and punctuality required.
• Ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting.
• Experience in management and supervisory duties.
• Good oral and written communication and customer service skills.
• Basic knowledge of signs and symptoms of overexertion, hypoglycemia, hyperglycemia, heart attack and stroke.
• Personal interest in fitness programming.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily front desk and reception operations.
• Supervise, train, evaluate, and provide general guidance to the front desk, reception, and other staff as necessary for growth and function of the Wellness Center.
• Manage memberships, waivers, access control, privacy, and timekeeping systems.
• Create reception schedules covering all operating hours including weekends and holidays.
• Address member and staffing concerns and resolve customer service issues professionally.
• Assist in development of reception policies and procedures for the Wellness Center.
• Maintain records of facility usage, memberships, and front desk activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized and professional reception area.
• Oversee confidentiality and privacy of member information.
