Job summary

Collaborative Support Programs of NJ (CSPNJ) in Jersey City seeks a full-time Wellness Center Manager to lead operations for the center, overseeing a team of mentors and a Resource Specialist. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a mental health discipline; alternatively, a high school diploma with 2+ years of related work/lived experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Proficient in MS Office products and general computer literacy.
• Effective communication skills, able to multi-task and stay organized.
• Knowledge of wellness and the mental health system and community resources.

CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit is looking for a full-time Wellness Center Manager in Jersey City. Under the direction of the Regional Coordinator, the Manager is responsible for managing, coordinating, and overseeing operations and activities at the center including a team of mentors and a Resource Specialist. Wellness Centers are a safe and supportive place for adults with life struggles to meet and get support.

• Conduct community outreach to promote center services, building partnerships with local organizations, and ensuring access to resources for members.
• Foster a welcoming environment, track operational metrics, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with policies.
• The manager will coordinate referral services, life skills workshops, vocational awareness, self-care opportunities, creative arts activities, peer support, access to tangible goods.
• Foster partnerships with local organizations, community leaders to enhance the centers visibility and relevance, actively engaging in community events and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a mental health discipline preferred; alternatively, a high school diploma with 2+ years of related work/ lived experience..
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a supervisory role.
• Proficient in MS Office products as well as general computer literacy.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written; attention to detail, and ability to multi–task and stay organized.
• Track record of engagement and passion for building the community.
• Knowledge of wellness, the mental health system and community resources.
• Ability to effectively communicate and relate to a diverse population in a multicultural environment.
• Proven ability to engage and support individuals with mental health diagnoses using empathy, professionalism, and trauma-informed practices.
• Bilingual skills a plus!
• MUST have a valid NJ Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.

Hourly Rate: $24.04
