Job summary

YMCA of Frederick County is seeking a Health and Wellness Attendant to deliver exceptional member service and promote engagement in the health and wellness center. You will greet members and guests, guide fitness orientations, and support safety and cleanliness across the facility, using the Activtrax system where applicable.

Responsibilities include emergency readiness, incident reporting, and coordinating shift coverage with leadership while participating in staff meetings and member

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Flexible to work at Frederick and Natelli locations.
• Weekend availability is a must.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests courteously and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Conduct fitness orientations and guide users on cardio/strength equipment using Activtrax or manual setups.
• Assist with daily cleaning and maintenance of the Health & Wellness Center.
• Understand and communicate facility emergency procedures and safety policies.
• Complete incident/accident reports when necessary and report equipment issues promptly.
• Monitor for safety, enforce policies, and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Coordinate with H&W Director/Asst. Director on shift cover and substitutions.
• Participate in staff meetings and recruitment/promotion efforts as required.
