Job summary

GRMC is seeking a Wellness Center Attendant to support clerical tasks, member services, and facility maintenance at the Silver City wellness center. You will assist with sales, data entry, billing, and account management, while ensuring adherence to wellness center policies and safety guidelines.

The role involves pool area monitoring, chemical checks, and basic exercise instruction, along with cleaning, restocking, and marketing material creation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Heartsaver certification within 90 days of hire.
• Successful completion of basic swimming and water rescue exam if pool monitoring is required within 90 days.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
• Experience with public interactions and basic computer/office equipment familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain fitness, group exercise, and pool equipment.
• Restock and clean wellness areas; perform general housekeeping.
• Collect money and manage membership agreements; reconcile cash drawer.
• Handle calls, faxes, and memberships for corporate accounts; monitor check-ins.
• Provide orientation and fitness guidance to clients; educate on health topics.
• Create signs, brochures, and internal/external marketing materials.
• Monitor safety and enforce gym, pool, and group exercise room rules.
• Respond to customer questions and assist with account updates and renewals.
