Job summary

YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne seeks a part-time Wellness Center Assistant at the Caylor Nickel Foundation Family YMCA in Bluffton, IN. You’ll greet members, assist with wellness goals, and maintain a welcoming environment that supports safety and fitness success.

Qualifications

• Be at least 16 years old.
• Have the ability to work morning hours.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Previous fitness certification and experience with basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, along with wellness equipment, is preferred.
• Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Responsibilities

• Connect: Strong human relations skills and ability to communicate with participants and program staff.
• Support: Provide a level of service by connecting with members and their wellness goals, ensuring the safety of members using the facilities.
• Motivate: Orient members with the fitness equipment to ensure a safe and positive environment for the participants to succeed in their wellness goals.
