Job summary

Yora Nordic Spa in Portland, CT is seeking a Bistro Bartender to join our founding food and beverage team. This full‑time, on‑site role starts in late October 2026 as we welcome guests in November.

You will welcome guests, build beverage knowledge, guide selections, prepare drinks to recipe, and maintain a calm, welcoming bar environment while coordinating with servers and kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of beverages, ingredients and preparation techniques.
• Genuine interest in wellness and guest experience.
• Strong guest-service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn and communicate product knowledge.
• Attention to detail and service accuracy.
• Remain calm, organized and welcoming in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort using POS and payment systems after training.
• Willingness to obtain food-safety and responsible-alcohol-service certifications.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and engage guests with a warm, relaxed bar experience.
• Develop knowledge of beverages, ingredients and offerings.
• Guide guests through beverage choices and recommendations.
• Prepare and serve beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Maintain bar readiness, supplies and pacing during service.
• Enter orders, process payments and follow POS procedures.
• Receive, store and rotate beverage products; support inventory counts.
• Protect beverage cost through accurate pouring and handling.
• Coordinate with Servers and Kitchen for timely service.
• Follow food-safety and responsible-alcohol-service requirements and training.
