Job summary

Yora Nordic Spa is opening in November 2026 in Portland, CT, and is forming its founding Kitchen team. The Kitchen Attendant role is full-time and starts around the end of October 2026. You will help ensure a clean, organized kitchen and support the culinary team to deliver Masterful Nourishment.

No prior kitchen experience is required; the role values reliability, teamwork and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment. Training and certification will be provided as needed.

Qualifications

• No previous kitchen experience required
• Willingness to learn basic food preparation and kitchen procedures
• Ability to follow instructions, checklists and established procedures
• Strong commitment to cleanliness, organization and food safety
• Teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen
• Dependability and ability to meet timelines
• Willingness to obtain food-safety certification within required timeframe

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize pots, pans, cookware, utensils and kitchen equipment
• Operate commercial dishwashing and sanitation equipment safely and correctly
• Maintain clean and organized dishwashing, preparation, storage and back-of-house areas
• Complete basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, portioning and simple ingredient prep
• Follow established cleaning schedules, sanitation procedures and food-safety requirements
• Restock cookware, utensils, cleaning supplies and other kitchen essentials
• Report equipment, maintenance, food-safety and workplace-safety concerns promptly
• Support teammates during preparation and busy service periods
