Work in Wellness at the New Yora Nordic Spa

Opening in November 2026, Yora Nordic Spa is a place to pause, reconnect and experience wellbeing through nature, hydrotherapy and authentic human connection. The Opportunity

The Bistro Bartender will be part of Yora's founding food and beverage team, helping create the warm, relaxed and thoughtful bar experience that will welcome Yora Nordic Spa's first guests in November 2026. This full-time role is anticipated to start at the end of October 2026.

At Yora, the Bistro is part of the wellness journey - a place where nourishment and social connection come together. Through genuine conversation, thoughtful recommendations and beverages prepared with care, the Bistro Bartender helps guests pause, reconnect and enjoy time together. Even during busy periods, service should feel calm, personal and unhurried.

This tipped position offers a base wage of $15.00–$17.00 per hour, plus the opportunity to earn additional income through guest tips.

What You Will Do

• Welcome and engage guests while creating a bar experience that feels warm, relaxed, social and inclusive.
• Develop strong knowledge of beverages, ingredients, preparation methods, food offerings, dietary considerations, features and promotions.
• Guide guests through beverage choices and make thoughtful recommendations based on their preferences.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to approved recipes, portions and presentation standards.
• Prepare beverages efficiently for both bar guests and Bistro Servers while maintaining quality and appropriate service pacing.
• Complete required bar preparation and maintain appropriate product, glassware, ice and supply levels throughout service.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond professionally to requests, feedback and service-recovery opportunities.
• Support responsible alcohol service while maintaining a comfortable and welcoming environment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, stocked and guest-ready bar and complete opening, closing and cleaning procedures.
• Accurately enter orders, process payments and follow established POS and transaction procedures.
• Receive, store, rotate and handle beverage products correctly and support inventory counts and par-level controls.
• Protect beverage cost through accurate pouring, preparation and product handling while minimizing waste, spoilage and breakage.
• Communicate clearly with Servers, Bistro Attendants, Supervisors and the Kitchen team to support timely and accurate service.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, responsible-alcohol-service, equipment-safety and workplace-safety requirements and participate fully in required training.

What You Bring

• Previous bartending experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of beverages, preparation techniques, accurate pouring and responsible alcohol service.
• A genuine interest in wellness and creating memorable guest experiences.
• Strong guest-service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to learn and confidently communicate food and beverage product knowledge.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to beverage, order, payment and service accuracy.
• The ability to remain calm, organized and welcoming in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort using POS and payment systems following training.
• Appropriate food-safety and responsible-alcohol-service certifications, or the willingness to obtain them within the required timeframe.

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position with shifts scheduled based on business and operational needs. The role requires flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. The Bistro Bartender maintains a highly visible presence throughout service and may support different Bistro service areas as operational needs require.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This is a physically active, highly guest-facing position performed in a fast-paced Bistro and bar environment. The role involves extended periods of standing and walking; frequent bending, reaching, twisting and crouching; repetitive hand, wrist and arm movements associated with beverage preparation; pushing and pulling supply carts; and lifting and carrying routine beverage products, cases, glassware, ice, equipment and bar supplies. Employees work around alcoholic beverages, food allergens, refrigeration and beverage equipment, sharp tools, broken glass, cleaning products and chemicals, noise, changing temperatures, spills and wet or slippery surfaces. Appropriate food-safety, responsible-alcohol-service, equipment-safety and chemical-handling procedures must be followed. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the position safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
