Job summary

CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree, AZ is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team. You will prepare meals, maintain kitchen standards, and support seasonal menus in a luxury resort setting.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years as a line cook, hotel or resort experience preferred, and the ability to work all shifts including weekends. A Maricopa County Food Handlers Card is required.

Qualifications

• Three - five years’ experience as Line Cook.
• Previous hotel/resort experience preferred.
• Willing and able to work all shifts including weekends/holidays.
• Current Maricopa County Food Handlers Card required.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Knowledge/passion in Health & Wellness.

Responsibilities

• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; performing preventive and cleaning maintenance; calling for repairs.
• Completes meal preparation by grilling, sauteing, roasting, frying, and broiling ingredients; verifying doneness and taste; assembling and refrigerating cold ingredients.
• Presents meals by placing and arranging hot and cold elements using plates, dishes, bowls, and baskets.
• Controls costs by adhering to recipes; following preparation standards.
• Maintains a sanitary kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes; cleaning equipment.
