CIVANA Wellness Resort & Spa in Carefree, AZ is hiring a Prep Cook. This full-time role supports the kitchen team by preparing ingredients and dishes to meet menu standards and timing expectations, while maintaining clean, organized workstations and collaborating with chefs.

Ideal candidates have prep-cook experience, knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Prior prep cook or similar role experience preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Food handler certification or ability to obtain one before starting.

Responsibilities

• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for food preparation.
• Prepare ingredients and dishes according to menu specifications and timing standards.
• Maintain consistency in food preparation and presentation per brand standards.
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries with proper FIFO inventory rotation.
• Keep workstations clean and organized during shifts.
• Collaborate with chefs and cooks to complete meal prep on time.
• Adhere to portion controls and minimize food waste.
• Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.
