Job summary

Bupa Merrimac is seeking a dedicated Wellbeing Carer to enhance the lives of residents at our Merrimac care home. You will run engaging activities, provide companionship, and support daily living needs while upholding safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• First Aid certification is required or willing to obtain one.
• Experience caring for elders in aged care or community settings is essential.
• Excellent communication with residents and colleagues is important.
• Ability to work well in a team and support others with a friendly attitude.
• Australian driver’s licence is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Be the fun facilitator and help residents explore interests and activities.
• Serve as a social connector to foster belonging and engagement.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as mealtimes and outings, offering support as needed.
• Gather feedback from residents and families to improve activities.
• Collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan and document progress.
